“You can’t think about presence, and the mind can’t understand it. Understanding presence is being present.” –Eckart Tolle

Perhaps the most profound present we can give to ourselves, the lives we touch, and the world at large, is an embodied presence. Join meditation instructor, holistic health coach and community sustainability educator, Angela Miller-Porter in a guided meditation to gift yourself with embodied presence; mind, body, soul and earth. Peace begins within and this practice is designed to slow you down, feel within, and accept the moment, however it might be for you, with love and acceptance.

Thanks to the generosity of Superior Healing Initiative volunteers, Mindful Monday is free and open to all nonprofit employees in the Upper Peninsula. Superior Healing Initiative’s mission is to make holistic approaches to healing more accessible for all members of the community.

Self-Care Try It!

Katie Pryor leads an exercise adapted from Brene Brown’s book Dare to Lead. Dr. Brown believes that “living into our values” means we do more than profess them, we practice them. The main goal of this session is identifying what you consider most important in life, work and play.
